Hi, I'm Paul Bayley, I have been a qualified Plant Operator for 29 years, I've worked self employed with many companies on many different projects over the years. 

12 years ago I trained as a Puwer & Loler examiner and for 10 year I worked for a local company as one of their Test Engineers. 

I have now set up on my own as PDB Examinations.

About my Business

I specialise in conducting thorough PUWER (Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations) and LOLER (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations) examinations on a wide range of plant machinery and accessories. My services ensure that your equipment is compliant with current UK safety legislation, helping you to maintain a safe and productive working environment.

I'm based in the South of England, I travel extensively throughout the region to inspect and examin all aspects of plant machinery. This allows me to offer flexible and responsive support to clients across diverse industries.

Scope of Inspections

As an Test Engineer, I carry out comprehensive checks on all types of plant and associated accessories, including but not limited to:

  • Excavators, cranes, and lifting equipment

  • Tractors, harvesters, and agricultural implements

  • Marine winches and lifting gear

  • Forestry machinery and attachments

*I don't repair lifting equipment but can source out for repair if needed

Testing and Certification Process

Every inspection is conducted to the highest standards, ensuring all relevant PUWER and LOLER requirements are met. After completing each test, I provide detailed certification for every machine or accessory inspected. This documentation serves as proof of compliance and can be used for insurance, auditing, and operational records.

All pricing is done to suit the customer. A bespoke price will be arranged to cover testing all plant and their accessories, Certificates, fuel and travel.

The pricing may be done either by machine/equipment or priced at a daily rate.

All Certificates are sent immediately after payment is received and are valid for 6/12 months depending on category.

You will be contacted to arrange dates for future testing.
